Dr. Charles H. Henry and Dr. John Upton, Jr. of Village Dentistry in the Village of Oak Creek are pleased to announce the opening of their new location at Castle Rock Plaza Suite 201, 6446 Highway 179.

For over 25 years, Dr. Henry and Dr. Upton have been providing high quality, comprehensive dental care to the Sedona area from their office in the Plaza del Sol building.

The new location will enable them to be able to provide even higher levels of service with state-of-the-art technology in a beautiful facility designed with patient comfort and convenience in mind.

Dr. Henry and Dr. Upton are both graduates of Northern Arizona University and Baylor College of Dentistry. Their dedication to excellence has led them to pursue countless hours of continuing education through the Pankey Institute, the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education, the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, and many others.

Both have received Mastership Awards from the Academy of General Dentistry, and are among a very select group of dentists in Arizona to achieve that distinction. In fact, Dr. Henry was the first Arizona dentist to receive his MAGD.

About Dr. Henry

Dr. Charles H. Henry, a native of Arizona has been in practice in Arizona for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona and The Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Henry regularly updates and improves his dental skills in various areas by taking over 4000 hours of continuing education courses and participating in a number of dental study clubs. In 1984 re received his AGD Fellowship Award and in 1992, after completing over 2000 class hours in specific areas, he received his Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry, the first general dentist in Arizona to do so!

Dr. Henry is an alumnus of the prestigious Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, Florida and the Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a member of the ADA, ACD, AGD, American Dental Association, American Orthodontic Society, PESC, Flying Dentists Association and he sits on the board of directors - AZ AGD.

Dr. Henry's private practice providers comprehensive restorative and cosmetic dentistry for the entire family. In addition to creating aesthetically beautiful and functional smiles, Dr. Henry utilizes the latest technology in cosmetic and laser dentistry. As a father of two, Dr. Henry enjoys attending sporting events with his children, hiking, exercising and traveling. Along with his passion for dentistry, Dr. Henry is passionate about flying and is a licensed private pilot. He is also a volunteer with the Flying Samaritans, which provide much needed dental and medical services at a remote village in South Baja, Mexico.

Dr. Upton's practice provides comprehensive cosmetic and restorative care for the entire family. By building relationships and listening to your concerns and desires about your smile, long-term solutions to oral health care can be developed. In addition aesthetically beautiful smiles using latest technology in cosmetic and laser dentistry, all aspects of dental care including decay, preventative periodontal (gum) treatment, and occlusion (your bite) are evaluated.

As the parents of four children, the youngest two of whom are in college, Dr. Upton and his wife, Becky, enjoy a life filled with the joys of grandchildren and friends.

Charities:

Dr. Upton is an active participant in the community, serving as a dentist for Smiles for Life, which raises millions of dollars for children's charities and medical research. From March to June we raise money by providing teeth whitening at a discounted rate. All of our materials are donated and we donate our time. Half of what is donated is given to Garth Brooks Foundation for Kids and the other half is given to our local charity at West Valley Children's Crisis Center.
